The chant of the Indonesia Raya national anthem which was sung by the participants opened the national seminar at Graha Cakrawa State University of Malang (UM) on Monday (8/4). The seminar which was attended by 1,700 students of the Faculty of Education (FIP) presented Prof. Dr. Hariyono, M.Pd. as the Head of the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency and Prof. Masdar Hilmy, MA, Ph.D. as the Chancellor of the Islamic University of Sunan Ampel Surabaya.
Dean of FIP UM, Prof. Dr. Bambang Budi Wiyono, M.Pd. said that this national seminar is very important to provide character strengthening for students with Pancasila spirit. Not only during lectures, but also at seminars like this. "Of course, this activity will strengthen character education better and practice it in national life," he said. This was confirmed by Prof. Dr. AH. Rofi'uddin, M.Pd. as UM Chancellor. In his speech, he said that UM is entrusted with a center for learning innovation. UM has always developed and updated the learning system until now, namely with the existence of a life-based curriculum. "The existence of a life curriculum will answer challenge 4.0 by applying the knowledge of national insight in all of our work," he said.
Pancasila must be the basis for the epistemology of education. This is very necessary. Given, since 1917 a number of young people who joined the Trikoro Dharma (which later became Jong Java, ed.) Have had the principle of magic, evidence, service. "Moreover, the essence of education is to live. So making education is national in nature so that the scientific basis in accordance with the national vision and mission cannot be separated from character, "said Hariyono.
The delivery of the second material was continued by Prof. Masdar Hilmy. Students are still listening solemnly. "Pancasila is with religion and the state. Where religion cannot dominate the state, and vice versa. So that the pattern that must be understood in the 4.0 industrial revolution is that we are not anti-globalization, but global cannot dominate national interests. Moreover, since 2016 UM has developed a life-based curriculum, so that the basis of life is the values of Pancasila, ”Masdar explained.
At the end of the event, the moderator led the participants to sing the Indonesian Pusaka song. "Indonesia is currently fragile, let's strengthen the national identity with the national character that is embedded in us," Masdar concluded. Amey.
