The Student Writing Activity Unit (UKMP) State University of Malang (UM) commemorates his birthday on Friday (3/5). Entitled "Dirgahayu 37th Writing Student Activity Unit", the celebration was held from evening until evening. Festive and joyful atmosphere accompanied the opening of the event. Located on the Trapezium Stage, the activity was opened with a prayer together and was followed by cutting the tumpeng by the general chairman of UKMP, Ahmad Syaifuddin. Followed by yasinan and istigasah, this event seemed solemn.
With the theme "Creating a Taste in the Family", there were also missionaries of the UKMP management at this commemoration. Radix Fajarivandy, the head of the event organizer, said that the choice of the theme is a hope for the closer relationship of UKMP families. "Yes, we are trying to glue them back together and give the new members space to get acquainted with old training members, demisioners, and alumni," said the man who is familiarly called Radix.
The time shows the night when the art performance begins. Performances such as short story reading, singing, and poetry musicalization filled the cold night. Not only from the UKMP, other UKM such as Opus 275 also participated in the art performance. Performing Andmesh Kamaleng's song Cinta Extraordinary, the Opus 275 group managed to hypnotize dozens of pairs of eyes. Not only that, the Akasia band from the Literary Laboratory (Labostra) UKMP also showed off.
When interviewed by the Communications crew, Radix explained that this time there was something different. "If in the previous year, after the group prayer and pensi, they directly distributed food to other UKM in UM, this year they were invited and the event was definitely more festive and busier," explained this Civil Engineering student. As the chief executive, he also admitted that the 37th Dirgahayu UKM Writer had a special meaning for him because of the large participation given by all UKMP families. "In my opinion, what is special about this anniversary is a lot of participation from alumni, UKMP members and guests," said Radix.
This native Pujon man also said that this activity was a forum for every member of the organization to communicate with one another. "We are trying to promote some of the new UKMP members to become event organizers, so they don't hesitate to interact with other UKMP members," he said. He also hopes that UKMP will be more productive in working and always maintain cohesiveness in organizations. "My hope is that UKMP will be more productive, perform in various ways, be more critical, care about matters at UM, regionally and nationally, and become more compact," said Radix. Irkhamin
