Caecilia Invites # Students to Record Indonesia 2020 in the Future
"Greetings SP, Noting Indonesia!" The slogans served as encouragement during the 2020 Population Census Socialization which took place on Wednesday (27/11) at the Cultural Center, State University of Malang (UM). The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) held this activity by inviting three speakers, namely Drs. Sunaryo, M.Sc., Head of BPS Malang City, G. Raymond H. Matondang, representatives of the Department of Population and Civil Registration (Dispendukcapil), and Prof. Dr. Budijanto, M.Sos., Lecturer at the UM Department of Geography.
Malang City is currently touted as an educational migration because many prospective students continue their studies in this city and have not been officially registered. The census can be done in two ways, de facto and de jure. In de facto The census is carried out by recording every newcomer or permanent resident regardless of the length of their stay there. In de jure The census is carried out by listing the residents who already officially have KTPs in the city.
In Indonesia, a population census is carried out every ten times. The 2020 population census was conducted using a combination method, a different method from the previous year. The method is technology-based and traditional. The public can conduct their own census through website sensus.bps.go.id. The Online Population Census (SPO) will start from February 15 to March 2020. There are several stages prepared before the SPO is held, including coordination and consolidation, preparation of population databases, independent data collection, preparation of population lists, checking population lists, field verification, and enumeration. field.
During the census, BPS cooperates with the Directorate General of Population and Civil Registry (Dukcapil). However, there is no need to worry that personal data will be leaked and spread widely when conducting SPO because there are penalties for dishonest officers. For example, Article 21 of Law No. 16 of 1997 concerning the Confidentiality of Respondents' Personal Data, if violated, is threatened with a maximum imprisonment of five years and a maximum fine of Rp100 million. Data security has become the biggest focus of BPS.
The hard work of BPS must be supported by the active participation of the Indonesian people, both young and old. So, take the day off to do the 2020 census for the realization of the census goal, which is to provide data on the number, composition, distribution, and characteristics of the population towards one Indonesian population data.
The implementation of the 2020 population census must also be supported by students. They are prepared to become census agents with the task of carrying out and helping explain SPO to all levels of society. Let all of us be part of a rare opportunity on the journey of #M to record Indonesia, especially if all can fill it in on line will minimize the number of census personnel and funds disbursed. The previous year the census required a budget of around Rp.5.5 trillion, while the one approved was Rp.3.3 trillion, while for 2020 BPS budgeted around Rp.4 trillion, but this has not been approved so far.Caecilia
