PIM UM: Explore Student Creativity, Solidify Becomes Champion
A poster exhibition on the ground floor of the Graha Rectorate at State University of Malang (UM) enlivened the External Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) of the 2019 Funding Student Creativity Program (PKM), Tuesday-Thursday (25-27 / 06). This year, UM will again host the PKM Funding PKM External Monev. Present as observer Dr. Hermanto, S.Pd, M.Pd, a lecturer at Yogyakarta State University (UNY) and Drs. Bandung Arry S., MI. Komp, a lecturer at the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) Surabaya. For 20 minutes, 59 PKM Teams of eleven colleges in Malang Raya, Blitar, and Pasuruan competed to showcase the performance of their program implementation. The eleven universities include State University of Malang (UM), Kanjuruhan University Malang (Unikama), IKIP Budi Utomo (IBU) Malang, Polytechnic Health (Poltekkes) RS. Dr Soepraoen Kesdam V Malang, College of Information and Computer Management (STMIK) Asia Malang, Widyagama Husada College of Health Sciences (STIKES) Malang, Putra Indonesia Pharmacy Academy Malang, Malang Wisnuwardhana University, Malang Tribhuana Tunggal Dewi University, Yudharta Pasuruan University, and Nahdlatul Ulama University (UNU) Blitar. This monev activity aims to monitor and see the extent to which the PKM team has implemented the grant funds. In accordance with the provisions of the Directorate General of Learning and Student Affairs, Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Dirjen Belmawa Kemenristekdikti), the first day of monev is specifically scheduled for tertiary institutions outside UM. Meanwhile, on the second and third day, the schedule of monev presentations was for teams from UM.
In the opening, UM Deputy Rector III, Dr. Mu'arifin, M.Pd, welcomed the guests and appreciated the work displayed in the UM Student Scientific Week and PKM External Monev. "Take advantage of PKM to forge yourself. Improve yourself. If you are good, let's improve our environment, ”he ordered.
Chairman of the UM Reasoning Team, Dr. Heny Kusdiyanti, S.Pd., MM, said that the holding of the PKM student exhibition and poster competition was funded so that students could feel the atmosphere of the National Student Scientific Week (PIMNAS). "We want a story that this external monev is as if it were a UM version of the mini PIMNAS," he said. "So for friends who take part in monev activities can feel what the real PIMNAS feels like," continued the lecturer who is familiarly called Bunda by the students.
In PKM external monev, UM is indeed the host and participant. Poster competitions and exhibitions are part of the UM Student Scientific Week (PIM) series. 59 posters consisting of 36 internal PKM team posters and 23 UM external PKM team posters were exhibited. Of the 59 posters, 1-3 winners were selected specifically for UM teams and 1-3 winners specifically for teams outside UM in this competition. The winners get a certificate from the UM Rector.
Previously, 36 PKM UM teams had been quarantined for two days to prepare monev. External Monev Assessment is actually a determining ticket whether the PKM team passes to the PIMNAS event in addition to the aspects of the proposal and the PKM progress report. Heny said that UM expected to be in the top five in PIMNAS. This year UM carries 36 PKM. This number decreased from the previous year 84 PKM were funded. This is because Belmawa Kemenristekdikti makes equalization regulations. So, it is not dominated by PTN cluster 1. "UM target, there are representatives in 5 PKM groups. In order for the UM ranking to rise from 14, at least to the 13th, "he added. Given that PKM is part of the national program. Diah
