MONTHLY P2P: SEEKING INDONESIAN WOMEN HEROES
The Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) of the Center for Pancasila Studies (P2P) successfully held a monthly workshop (17/07). The workshop invited M. Fahcrul Lukmanul Khakim, M.Pd, as the main speaker and moderated by Ronal Ridho'I, MA, Lecturer in the Department of History, State University of Malang (UM). The workshop with the theme "Indonesian Women Heroes' Lacking Action" turned out to be quite interesting for students. It was proven that on that day the Pancasila Laboratory was filled with students who were ready to listen to explanations about female heroes.
This workshop is a routine activity held by (P2P) to educate students, especially UM students, related to Pancasila, nationality and nationalism. "This workshop is actually our step as an educational institution to educate students, especially students of the State University of Malang. Especially if we see that we are currently in the millennial era, so it is very important to educate that Pancasila is a very important state foundation, nationality is also very important, "explained Drs. Slamet Sujud Purnawan Jati, M.Hum, Head of UPT P2P.
Serasehan held by UPT P2P usually brings up the latest topics that are interesting to discuss together. For example, in the previous month a similar event was held with the theme "Indonesian Maritime Conflict", so this month a workshop was held with the theme of women. This theme is very interesting to raise because if we examine from the many national heroes, only 13 female heroes were recorded. The appointment is still a matter of controversy among the public. It is of course very sad to see how their struggle for Indonesia is fighting to the death. Moreover, there are still many female figures who inspire Indonesian society and they have not been exposed by the media. An interesting fact that became a concern in the discussion was that the Indonesian people have now lost the essence of Mother's Day which is celebrated every 22 December and Kartini's Day every 21 April.
The enthusiasm of the participants increased when the moderator, Ronal Ridho'I, sparked questions with various problems that had been presented by the speaker. So that the discussion session was quite noisy with various questions from the participants. In addition to questions related to heroes, participants also asked various problems of women in the present and various negative stereotypes that land on women.
Before ending the workshop, the lecturer who is often called Fachrul stated that there were still a lot of female figures who fought for Indonesia and they were not recorded by history. In addition, as a young generation, they must be able to raise their profile and appreciate all the efforts that have been made, especially for students who are indeed involved in history. Sapphira
