The rate of increase in the spread of Covid-19 provides its own fear for the community. Various attempts were made to suppress the spread of Covid-19. Students of the State University of Malang (UM) KKN took part in taking action against this phenomenon. Located in Tawangsari Village, Pujon District, Malang Regency, Covid-19 Edition UM KKN students distributed 1000 masks (18 & 23/6). In addition to distributing masks, students also provide other service products such as hand washing stations, groceries, books, and so on. Head of the KKN UM Tawangsari Village Mask Products Division, Catur Nur Cahyaning said that the distribution of masks was carried out in two stages. The first stage carried out a symbolic handover by the Coordinator of KKN UM Tawangsari Village, Oktavian Rendra Pratama, accompanied by Field Supervisor (DPL), Nailul Insani S, Pd., M.Sc. to the Tawangsari Village apparatus. This submission was represented by 10 students. This limitation of the number of representatives of the KKN group is to comply with the Covid-19 prevention protocol. This 1000 mask work program aims to reduce the risk of the spread of Covid-19 in Tawangsari Village. "The community is expected to be able to apply health protocols in a disciplined manner by wearing masks. People need to be vigilant and maintain their health wherever they are active. We will intervene to prevent the spread of Covid-19 through the work program of the Tawangsari Village UM KKN students, "he said.
In the second phase, 500 masks were distributed to private educational institutions such as the TPQ and Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. The board of TPQ Al Maqfuroh, Bu Umi Khopsoh, admitted that he was touched. "This mask assistance is really needed by the younger siblings here. We are grateful to the UM KKN students. Nobody has provided assistance like this before, usually the existing assistance will be handed over to public schools, ”he explained. Apart from giving masks to private educational institutions, the distribution of masks was also given to the people of Tawangsari Village. The distribution of masks was welcomed by the community. "We are very happy with the assistance of this UM KKN student. The giving of this free mask is very effective and useful. Hopefully the community service activities in this village will be blessed for all of you, ”said thankfully one of the residents of Tawangsari Village, Fatih Iqbal Maulana.
