Real Work Lecture Students of State University of Malang (UM) handed over the manual for composting to the apparatus of Kendalrejo Village, Trenggalek Regency on Monday (29/6). With complaints and problems from the residents of Kendalrejo Village regarding cow dung, the KKN UM Kendalrejo Village group took the initiative to compile a compost making manual which was directly supervised by the village innovation project team. However, because this was constrained by the Covid-19 pandemic situation which resulted in the village innovation project team being unable to go directly in the field to provide direction for the cow dung processing process, the Kendalrejo Village UM KKN team finally launched a compost manual.
"It is hoped that through this compost-making guidebook, residents will be able to understand the process of making compost from cow dung, which currently has not received the attention of residents to use it," said Pak Subero. The process of compiling the composting manual is strongly supported by the Kendalrejo village, as evidenced by the warm welcome of the village innovation project team's presence at the village hall office to consult with village officials. "Even though we, the village innovation project team, cannot do direct practice in the field, the village apparatus helps us with the data and information needed," said one of the village innovation project teams.
The head of the village innovation project and his team handed over the compost manual to the village head at the Kendalrejo Village Hall, Durenan, Trenggalek. "It is hoped that this compost guidebook can be used to the maximum extent possible so that the people of Kendalrejo Village can practice it directly," said the village coordinator.
