Students of Malang State University (KKN UM) Real Work Lecture in Gunungronggo Village provide training in making cakes at Gunungronggo Village Hall (7/7). The cake making training was attended by PKK Gunungronggo Village women and Karangtaruna youth. In this activity, participants were not only taught how to make cakes, but also received material on how to process agricultural products. There are two recipes that are practiced in this training, namely steamed banana sponge cake and papaya candy. "We have never made food processing from agricultural products like the ones that you and this mas have practiced. I'm glad you got a recipe like this, "said one of the training participants.
The training starts at 09.00 WIB. The first practice started with making steamed banana sponge cake. Although this cake did not seem new according to the training participants, the participants' enthusiasm during the training was very good. After finishing practicing the first recipe, proceed with making the second recipe. The second recipe is papaya sweets. "Wow, the kids like this, the color is attractive, miss," said one of the training participants. After completing the practice, while waiting for the cake to ripen, the mothers were directed to get material about various cake recipes and each other sharing various recipes or cakes that have been practiced. All training activities went smoothly. The enthusiasm and enthusiasm of the participants was very good seen in the enthusiasm of the participants when listening to and cooking the cake.
The participants were even more happy when the UM KKN students distributed recipe books that they could take home. "This activity is expected to increase the insights and skills of women and the people of Gunungronggo in making cakes by utilizing existing agricultural products. So if there is a celebration at the house, you can make your own cake, "said the Head of Gunungronggo Village.
