Reading is an important activity to do. Reading makes readers get a lot of knowledge and avoid ignorance. Even though reading is an important thing, it is unfortunate that public interest in reading in Indonesia is still low. The lack of reading books and adequate facilities is also a factor in the lack of interest in reading among Indonesians. To increase public interest in reading, students of the State University of Malang (KKN UM) Real Work Lecture in Ngadilangkung Village provide book donations to support the Reading Week program which will be held in Ngadilangkung Village. Apart from book donation, another supporting work program is the procurement of the Ngadilangkung Village library (24/6). The types of books donated ranged from story books to textbooks that were still fit to read.
The book donors themselves came from KKN UM students in Ngadilangkung Village and outside KKN UM students. The books collected from the donations are quite large and sufficient to support the existence of a village library. In addition, the Ngadilangkung Village UM KKN team arranged and decorated the village library nicely, so that people visiting the library felt comfortable and at home reading in the library provided in Ngadilangkung Village. In addition to making the donated books useful for the local community, Ngadilangkung Village UM KKN students hope that reading books in the Ngadilangkung Village library can attract local residents to read.
